What is the Online BLS for Healthcare Provider course?This course allows you to complete everything online except the short skills evaluation. After you complete the hands-on skills evaluation with an AHA BLS Instructor, you will earn the official BLS for Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart.

How is the written portion taken and scored?The 20 question written exam is taken online, right after you've completed the required learning modules, and instantly scored by the computer. In the event that you fail the first exam, you will be given an opportunity to take another exam.
Is a skills evaluation required and how much does it cost?Yes. In order to earn an AHA BLS card, you must demonstrate the required skills to a American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor. The cost is usually between $20-$40, but can be higher or lower, depending on the area you live.
How long do I have after I complete the online program to complete the skills evaluation?You are allowed up to 60 days to take the skills evaluation.
